Very nice! Glad you were able to get one.
I have several original M1 Carbine's, but like you I can't really see using them the way I want to use a Carbine. I toyed with the idea of getting a FA and at one time I thought they guaranteed 3" 100 yd. groups, but the wait was so long. I found an Iver Johnson repro in a new Boyd's stock really worth the money, then a 1st Generation Universal. So these are the two that ride in the pickup and hang off the fender of the tractor out in the pasture. Both are quite a bit more accurate than any of my originals too.
