Visited my buddy in Washington state last summer. He had a few guns he wanted me to work on so he could give them to his son . One of them was an Armalite AR 7, it just needed cleaning up and a magazine. I got it all cleaned up and went online to get a magazine and about fell out of my chair when I saw how much they wanted for a little 8 round mag. Told my buddy he can get that himself, I think it was $40 or more. So 4-5 months later I'm cleaning out an old craftsman roll away tool chest and on the bottom in the very back I move a buffing wheel. Underneath is a small magazine it's full of .22 lr. I look at it, thinking no way.... I pull out the Ar 7 and damned if the mag didnt slide right in. How or why it was there i have no idea, never had one, never even seen one in person. Funny how things happen sometimes.

Same thing happened to me years ago except in reverse order. Friend of my sons uncle passed away While cleaning out the uncles work desk they found a plastic bag with loose .25 rounds and three small automatic pistol magazines in a Raven Arms factory box. No pistol. Son gave it to me as he knew I had some .25 cal pistols. Didn't have a Raven so I kept the ammo and put the magazines in my cast off drawer. You know the drawer we all have that contains miscellaneous firearm parts and accessories.
Fast forward 15 years and at an auction my brother bid $25 on an old wooden tackle box. He really didn't want the box just the old school lures and miscellaneous things it contained. Won the bid brought the box home and found that the top tray lifted out. On the bottom were several old wood bass lures and a blue Raven Arms box. One pistol no magazine.
After a good cleaning she loaded up and shot fine with the magazines I had. Well as fine as far as a .25 Raven goes. He kept it in the tackle box and over the years probably shot 1000 rounds through it. Exploded into pieces one day when my brother in law was shooting it.

A loaded magazine that you have never seen belonging to a firearm that you have never owned found in your toolbox that fit a firearm model belonging to your buddy that was in your temporary possession for cleaning and happened to be missing the very magazine that was found in the toolbox - WOW!

Some guys find the guns and magazines they need...Me, I am lucky I have the right screw or nut when I need it in my giant can of miscellaneous hardware. :D
I’m the guy that needs one piece of hardware that I don’t have. So I go to the hardware store and end up having to buy a pack of 6 or 8 to get the one. The leftovers go into the hardware can never to be needed again...

Cool stories.

I'm fairly well known the gun shops and gun shows I frequent. It is not strange to walk into a couple of them, the counter man "Hi", then turns around, takes something off the rack or out of a display case and sets it on the counter in front of me. Doesn't say a word. The item is always something in my field of interest and from time to time something I've been lusting after. It is rewarding and fun; can be expensive...

On this subject, the more I deal with God, the less I believe in coincidence.

Crazy coincidence!
Too bad the OP didn't have the crazy coincidence of hitting all 6 numbers on the Lotto.
