I live in atlanta but am from the north and grew up playing hockey. I had a game tonight and as we were shaking hands with the other team i noticed that they all had Glock patches on their sleeve. I asked one of the guys what the deal was and he said that one of the guys on the team is with Glock. He points out the guy (and obviously it was the guy that i was defending all night), he comes over and introduces himself as Dave Sevigny. Instantly the name sounded familiar but i could not place it, so we are talking and i ask him what he does for Glock and he says that he shoots for them and that is when it hit me as to who he was. I just thought it was funny, we play his team again on Friday so this time i am going to ask for some tips.

Mods, didnt know where to put this, i figured here because Dave is obviously a very accomplished competition shooter, please move if needed.

Dave is the man. It is hard to believe that some of these hard core professional shooters are so down to Earth. He will probably help you with shooting any way he can.

P.S. I have never met him, but he is the man.

    Awesome.

I play hockey and shoot competitively too.

How good was Dave on the ice?

The story goes that D. Sevigny is such an agile shooter because of his hockey background.
His move into and out of kneeling has to be seen to be believed.

He is a good hockey player, but he never got around me. He will have another chance tmrw night. I did play college hockey in the northeast, and i think i am a few years younger than he is though.

He's originally from Connecticut or Massachussetts, and he was working as a machinist, IIRC.

I’ve watched Dave shoot in the Steel Challenge Nationals a few times. Really impressive. And he usually comes in at or near the top.

On that FAST drill, I noticed his first shot was 1.36 seconds. It cracks me up when people brag they can get off an accurate shot from concealment in under a second.
