As you know... Kansas just recently passed the the concealed carry law.
Many places are freaking out and posting no carry signs.....
Anyway, I have talked to several managers of places in the area where I live in Kansas that have placed up No CC signs. One of them..... and I won't say who.....told me that they don't have a CC license but they often carry a gun in their car.
Now... how funny is that! They post their business to keep out law abiding people, and they are carrying illegal! Talk about bassackwards.......

Crazy, huh? :banghead:

It shouldn't surprise anyone. It's just human nature for an individual to think that they are competent and that everyone else is an idiot. That is why certain anti-CCW politicians carry themselves ...

I guess many business owners in Kansas.....

expect the blood to be running in their streets now, just like it did in Tex....oh. Wait a minute, that didn't happen here.......Never mind.

Oh woe is Kansas. We have shall issue and it has been nothing but one shoot out after another for the last three years. The mortuaries are backed up about six months and they had to turn the national forest into a cemetary to make room for all of the bodies. At least that is what the OHP expected so far it has been very uneventful much to the chagrin of Toby Hoover I am sure. Don't see too many no ccw signs except for government offices and attornies offices.

If its legal, think about open carrying. Who knows, maybe some people will ask you about your sidearm and you'll have an opportunity to educate them about the wonderful lifestyle self-reliance.

Enough of that goes around, and people will be putting up signs not allowing anyone over the age of 21 in their businesses unless they're packin'! :neener:

Didn't they call Kansas "Bleeding Kansas" quite a long time ago?

So you Kansans should be used to have streams of blood in the streets.

My, My, My, politicos and their "beforehand rushing obedience" bootlickers reproduce themselves every day and night.

More funny stuff....... on my way home I stopped by the gas station where I get gas and other asst. goodies.... and THEY just posted. I told them that I'd be happy to come back as soon as they take the sign down. The lady manager asked my why I need to carry a gun anyway.... I told here the State of Kansas told me I have the right to do so..... and I can't carry a cop around all day cause they are too heavy. She told me she would hate to lose my business over this but they don't want guns in the station. Her quote was that even a good person with a CC permit could have a bad day and decide to carry a concealed gun into the place and shoot someone. OMG..... I didn't know what the hell to say to that. Jeezaloezza.... I felt like I was trying to talk to someone with an IQ of a 10 yr old. She told me that she trusted me because she's known me for years...and that she was pro gun all the way... but there is sure to be someone with a permit that is going to go over the edge. I asked her is she honestly believed that just because someone had a permit, that they would go from a lawful person to a criminal just like that. She didn't have an answer. She then told me that I could be in the store with my concealed gun and someone on meth could decide to take my gun away from me and use it.
Once again....... OMG...... I couldn't fricking believe what I was hearing.
I decided at that point that it was time to go. What else was I going to say at that point. :banghead:
This is going to take some time here in the State. My guess is that every State has been through this.

It will get better. I play a game of "spot the posting". I honestly do not know of any place in - Horrors "liberal" Portland, Oregon that posts. I even carefully checked COSTCO the other day and could not find a sign.

Let's hear it for Kansans......

who fought for their 2nd ammendment rights and won. They had an uphill battle all the way and they persevered. Hopefully the business owners will come around....with a little encouragement from those folks legally carrying firearms.

It's not funny it's scarry

when people create demons from thin air to take away your rights, but a the first sign of danger they will pull out thier hidden guns and start shooting at anything that moves.

You guys think you had it tough. Once they introduced concealed carry in Arkansas you had to get up in the morning, roll back the dead bodies that had piled on top of you in the middle of the night, take a bloody shower since there was no clean water, walk (because you couldn't drive through the bodies) three hours to work as a mortician because everyone had to become one, get mugged for you lunch money, and when you went home you couldn't find your house because it was hidden by bodies.

JPP re the lady at the gas station...

JPP re the lady at the gas station...

You should have told her what a wonderful powerful sign it must be! Then asked her where you could get one for your house. Continue with how before she had that sign nothing was preventing a nut case with a gun from having a bad day and killing her and now how her magical all-powerful sign will keep nut cases with guns from harming her. After that sarcastic outburst you should repeat the statement about not coming back to do business with her.

So is it illegal in KS to carry into those establishments that post a sign, or is it looked on as their "policy" and if they find out you'll be asked to leave?

Crybaby. We lost 95% of the population in the first week. As I write this, I am recovering from fourteen gunshot wounds. Since I only had a revolver, (which are almost useless) I was overwhelmed by the hordes with wonder-nines. The good thing is, since the remaining population is clustered in hospitals either recovering, dying or treating the wounded, where we are protected by No Gun signs, the criminals have all moved on to the next state.

I grew up in Kansas and once thought that when I retired from the Corps that I would return to Kansas. As the years passed and Kansas became the California of the midwest I starting thinking that the old saying is true. You can't go home again. I was happy to see the freedom loving few in Kansas win thier fight for thier right to carry but they still have a long way to go.
