This concept was the basis for Stephen Hunter's "I, Sniper" book that came out a couple years ago. Hunter's books are great gun related reads; his most famous is "Point of Impact", the book behind the movie "Shooter", starring Mark Wahlberg.

Pretty cool, but what happens if your target is not static?

Probably won't replace an HRT sniper... yet.

That is just awesome...Won't be long before someone starts crying to ban this technology before there's a river of "blood in the streets".

HDCamel, I agree completely. Still. It is a very impressive piece of equipment and I wouldn't turn down the chance to try it out.

#1 SharpsDressedMan. Sounds exactly like what Bob Lee was up against.

I'm going to buy one of these - put it in my deer stand - and stay in bed in the morning. Then go pick up my deer later.

I've read that the scope system to convert your rifle is gonna cost somewhere around 12-15 thousand dollars. Still doesnt account for wind or any other changing atmospheric conditions.

I wonder how long the whole process takes. Seems like it could benefit our military maybe.

I wonder how long it will be until we have a topgun program for rifles because snipers have become too reliant on these systems.
