FYI, guns are getting harder to find day by day. Buy them when you can.

It's like a fever has swept the country. Hardly anything is in stock, most of it is on back order. Everything from .22's to pump shotguns, to 1911's, to AR's. There's just nothing there. Aside from it being utterly frustrating for me as a dealer, I do believe it shows that America is waking up which is a good thing.

My advice. If you've got the money now, buy the gun you want. Don't wait because it will be gone.

I was talking to one of my distributors and already this year, they've broken they're all time sales record.

Oh, and Colt is done taking new orders for 2012 so if you want an AR, get in line quick.

Frankly, this is just another attempt to create a mini-panic. Gun dealers are worried that O will Not get re-elected.

A year ago March, various distributors told ammo buyers to expect price increases of about 15-20% in May.
It did not happen. The new and very young shooters might be gullible, but the rest of us know better.

Last week, Memphis area stores were clogged with both handguns, hunting rifles, M-1As, a few AK clones etc.
The store in Cordova, right behind First TN Bank has run out of room to store them.
Good luck with your attempt to $timulate more $ales. If Obama gets re-elected, it is a dream come true for some of you guys.

I would hope that any dealer with a mindset like this would not have the brains to run a successful business for long.

We remember how the election in '08 and common perceptions/anxieties created lots of profits (and later a glut of ARs etc on the market).
We can only hope that if he is re-elected, O will again need/save all of his "political capital" for a major bill that has no connection to guns or ammo.

A quick perusing of Buds, AIM, Centerfire Systems, J&G, onlinegundeals.com, etc show various weapons of nearly every type available. Local gun dealers have full shelves of everything from single shot .410's to AR's to .50's. While I'm certain SOME guns may be harder to find than others, in general, firearms are WIDELY available on many fronts, both local and nationwide.

At this point I doubt Obama can do much about guns, he can try and pass bills but will more than likely not pass. The more lawsuits we win like Heller and McDonald the harder it will be for the government to pass bills restricting guns. He can however restrict imports of guns like he did with the 850,000 or so M1 Garands he did a few years ago.

Really? Because the gun shops here have plenty. Selling plenty, too, but they never seem to be out. Certain very specific items are hard to find, but that's not unusual.

Fear-mongering may get you customers from among the sheep, but not here.

Yup, couldn't agree more.

Not the first retailer with this rhetoric over the last week........

Im in OR...not far from ya. We got tons everywhere, send your customers down here :)

Keep in mind the source. Not attempting to attack reputations, but this IS also the same guy who told us that prices from Bud's would be drastically rising soon (you know those same prices he said there was NO WAY he could ever compete with), and that "drop shipping" firearms from distributors was going to come to an end as well. The "poor me, I can't compete" and "Buy 'em now, before they're ALL GONE" rhetoric is tired and needs to be retired. "I cant compete" means one of two things...you need to change your business model, or make way for those that have adapted to the times. Simply stating you can't (won't) compete means you don't want business, or you'd find a way TO be competitive.

What's blocked are the 700,000 Korean war era M1 carbines (evil detachable box magazine, military style semi-auto rifles). Last word was that the 80,000 or so M1 Garands might be approved for import. (My dad served in New Guinea and the Philippines in WWII, and he would find the idea that the M1 carbine is more dangerous than the M1 rifle a real hoot.)

happens every year at this time
[cynic]When a lot of gun enthusiasts are getting their income tax refund checks for spree spending?[/cynic]

Remind me to ask the local gun shop operator where I can get one of those posters "Barak Obama: Salesman of the Year".

It is one thing to be on the look out for an end run under the radar, but panic before something is known will dull the value of an alarm IF or when some doom really is looming over the horizon.

So a gun dealer telling us the world is running out of guns. That would be like a gun dealer telling us how terrible those low price on line gun store's are. Or maybe warning us that the manufacturers are finally going to force them into huge price increases. Hmmm.

My lgs is packed to the roof with guns. Ak's, ar's, pistols galore. High point, to bond arms, to glock, to kimber, to colts. You name it, its in stock twice over.

Horse Hockey. 1) I am seeing just about everything I would expect. My last two trips to the LGS and there, lo and behold, were the exact models I wished to purchase...neither had I expected to be able to do so. 2) Obama or anybody else has way more to worry about than gun control. Sorry everybody, what we all say all the time (legal guns are not a problem) they actually know...they are just reticent to say it. The administration is about to get smacked down in the Supreme Court on another matter...gun control is a non-starter for them.

So the OP is indeed making a totally transparent, obviously self serving, attempt to create panic buying...gee I wonder what business he's in (tenringguns.com)? It's a real puzzler.

Spread you Bull Cookies somewhere else...like on the garden where the manure will do some good.

HOWEVER...AND I MEAN THIS

I do think it would be wise to stock up on tin-foil as that is clearly going to be getting very hard to get soon.

Sadly, because of schmucks like this, so to may ammo and stuff...what a doofus:cuss:

Perhaps not that drastic, but it certainly is fanning the flames. Availability comes and goes to some degree all the time. If you want one, buy it, but don't run out and buy something because you are scared it won't be around next month, because there is a 99% chance it will be still be available. :)
