I recently put a +2 on my G29 and went to the range. Was surprised to get FTF issues out of it. Had never had any issues before. Put normal baseplate back on and no issues. I guess spring not strong enough for +2. Anyone have this issue before?

My son had this issue with a Hive +2..and had to buy a longer spring for it. G43...

What about a 20 mag with the sleeve on it? I’ve had good luck with those.

29/30 springs are pretty stiff out the door. I’d recommend filling it to full capacity without the extension on, and letting them sit for a few weeks.

I'm not surprised . I had a +2 base plate (pirece) on some of my g21 mags. Worked ok, I dropped a loaded one and the follower jammed or spring bound up , in any case it couldn't be fixed without complete disassembly . the next trip to the range an aftermarket slide lock lever broke on my g20 - it would engage every shot . after that I was done, removed all doo dads that didn't come on any glock I owned, threw it all away -except the night sights. That stuff just impedes reliability and makes your tactical Tupperware look cheesey. As another member said, just get the normal oem mags in whatever capacity you prefer and carry on. I've seen guys spend a fortune on glock "upgrades" , may lighten the trigger (undesirable for a carry gun) but is otherwise just to look fancy IMO. I stopped trying to fix what isn't broke.

I like the +2 plate on my G29 simply because I can get my pinky finger all the way on the grip while still having a compact pistol. Mine also did not function with +2 rounds reliably, but does +1. I'm content with that more for the improved grip than one more round of ammo although I may try another spring at some point. I do use the 15 round G20 mags for spares or use around home or camp. But not for carry.

I have a pinky extension on so can get full grip. May try the Pearce +2 and only add 1 and see if works. I also have a G20 and 3 15 round mags so when carry do 10+1 and extra 1 or 2 15 rounders. Was wanting to do 12+1 instead though. Oh well
