I loved the Ankle Glove(TM) I carried the J-frame in and wanted one for my PPK. (Please, this isn't the place for disparaging ankle carry or the antique Walther product. Ya makes yer decisions and ya lives with 'em.)
Trouble was, Galco says on their web site that their product only works with "Euro production" pistols. I spent some time with Duckduckgo (ahem... go ahead now and disparage Google, I'll wait here....) and learned that there have been at least two U.S.-produced PPKs over the years: one from some place called "Ranger" and of course the current S&W offering. And I reasoned that since most people looking for a holster would be looking to fit a recent purchase, Galco is really saying the Ankle Glove won't fit the S&W-made pistols.
Well, mine says "MADE IN USA" and "SPRINGFIELD, MA" on the slide and the Ankle Glove that arrived Friday fits like a bespoke shotgun:
I'm pretty sure the 'fit' issue stems from a change S&W made to the frame: at some point they extended the beavertail to address slide-bite issues. But my pistol is an early production one; it has an s/n in the AAA range and sports a normal beavertail.
So check your PPK or K/S. If it doesn't have that extra long beavertail, and you're looking for an ankle holster, Galco's Ankle Glove will fit. And will be the most comfortable foot weight available.
