Just a heads up newproductio. Garand clips have been hard to find for a few years. Ammogarand websites has backorderable clips thwy say will ship before end of april. Stamped ag7 ?
Hope they are good

I'm lucky- when I was an instructor at Bragg in 99-02, we were cleaning out a connex and found a barrel full of them. At that point, the Garand wasn't even a gun we taught any more, so they were "trash we could get rid of". But since probably most of us weapons instructors were Garand owners (at the time, they could be as low as $300 from CMP), they went away to good homes.

I ordered 20 they are $3 each. I have 50 I use and plan to keep these for future use after testing them for function.

I have a 100 or so milsurp clips should be good for a long while. But it's good to see them trying to make some new stock for new shooters and potential lost or damaged clips.

Thanks for the heads up. I've never tried the AG ones, having gotten reliable function in all of my rifles with most of the GI ones of various nationality. When I one of mine becomes too worn, it gets tossed. When testing some "new" ones, I mark the good ones. Honestly, they are cheap enough on the second hand market, not sure why one would need new ones. Just order several surplus ones, and you're likely to get mostly good. DO stay away from any un-marked Parkerized ones. Those tended to come on Greek HXP ammo, and are of dubious reliability.

i have some of those clips also. i have yet to chronograph that ammo to find out if it is hotter than a garands should have.

Years ago when I got my Garand from the CMP, someone was selling chrome plated clips on the Garand forum. They are really slick.

Those would be cool! They'd match my chromed hardware on the parade slings I use to differentiate my rifle in the rack at matches!

I was just looking at “M1Garand Enbloc Clips” on EBay. I cannot believe the outlandish prices of clips on that site.
I used to get good deals on enbloc clips from CDNN. It appears they have none in stock now.

I read through this thread and a particular thought wouldn't go away. Why not 3D print the clips? Sure enough, I found a file to do just that (not to mention a belt holster to hold en blocs!). If I get some time I'll see if I can successfully print a clip or two.

I'd guess you'd want PC rather than PLA to print those, as they re spring steel and there's a fairly tight set of tolerances involved. Doesn't mean it's not possible, they make K-31 clips as 3d prints.
Can't hurt to try. I don't have any PC, but TPU or PETG might stand in for testing purposes.

Dont order the ag7 grands clips. I have not received my clips yet should get them tomorrow, but I did receive any email stating they are giving full refunds to everyone and to go ahead and keep the clips for free. I asked what the issue is but have not got a response yet. I will say ammogarand is a great place to order from the stand behind their products issuing refunds with out asking. I don't know if I even want to try them once they arrive.
