Garand Data

    I purchased, several years ago an M-1 from CMP. It has a serial of 571XXXX. Iknow it was one of the last made by H&R. Any additional data would be appreciated.

    Have you looked at the CMP forums? They have a lot of questions like this over there.

    You might also have luck going to your library and looking at the Garand books there. If they don't have any, you can have them borrow it from another library (which is usually free to you).

    Made in December, 1955. H&R pumped them out until March of 1956 at least.
