What does that statement even MEAN?
Like, more children are accidentally killed by drowning each year than by firearms (source: CDC), so what if we had a coloring book on pool safety? Would having pictures of deadly swimming pools that kids color be sending "the wrong message"?
 
Those kids are lucky to have a NRA coloring book, all I had as a kid was a Harley-Davidson coloring book. :D
 
Unfortunately some people, sometimes I think the majority of people, are conditioned to respond a certain way to certain situations. Anything gun related pertaining to children is like the bell in Pavlov's lab causing normally intelligent people to stop thinking and start reacting.

My kids were both shooting .22s at five years old. When the apocalypse comes, people like this lady will be trampled by those with purpose, focus and courage. She had my sympathy for a minute. No more.

If someone won an election with 83% of the votes, it would be considered a landslide victory. Since we're talking about firearms here, 83% may well translate into something like, "a vocal few".
 
This is one of those mothers who says she doesn't want her kids even THINKING about guns (hence the reason she flips out at them seeing a drawing). Yes, she's an idiot but this story was great publicity for gun safety and her behavior makes her appear irrational in the story. Publicizing a mother's irrational behavior in a mainstream media source will ONLY cause people to see what a buffoon she is, and will only validate our points. Kudos to the the station for running this AND for making a poll where we could stomp idiocy.

EDIT: I just watched the video on the news story and woa, this lady is a mental mess. The tongue piercing just ADDS to her credibility

Bottom line, this lady could not possibly come off looking worse after people see this. She couldn't possibly come off appearing more irrational. She does us a big favor by opening her mouth.

....however Ms. Howe was "delighted when the same school taught my son how to use a condom, and that my having a live-in lesbian lover is a normal and acceptable lifestyle."
