Ghost, to the best of my knowledge, it was the AC-119 Shadow and Stinger configurations, they carried 4 each of the 7.62 GE miniguns. The last version of the AC-47 carried 3, and the AC-130 Spectre carries only one (but has 20mm, 40mm and 105 Recoiless as backup :what:

P95CARRY asked for a picture here:

Unfortunately, when I was grinning that big my forehead collapsed and now I’m really ugly. In the interests of not scaring any impressionable children “do it for the childrens” I can’t let anybody possibly see it. :neener: :D

Bytor94, ya got me with that one.... But I don't think they could have carried too many rounds to support the guns. :D

For the life of me I can't remember how many rounds each of the pods could carry, I'm thinking something like 1800 or 2000 rounds.

It's been 21 years or so since I worked on one and the memory just isn't there anymore. I guess one of my three functioning brain cells finally quit. :D

You're still ahead of me, I'm down to the last two, and they're not talking...

Seriously, that must have been an AF test platform, as I never saw one over there. I flew out of Iwakuni and Cam Rahn Bay and never did see that variant.

I bet that if they fired all those at the same time that F-4 could back-up in mid air.
