Gen4 21 used price?

I have a chance to get a Glock 21 Gen4 in LNIB condition for $549. I haven't been pricing them a lot lately, is that a good price? New ones seem to go for around $650-700 here. My plan is to sell my S & W M & P 45 full size, and then sell my Kimber CDP Pro and order a G30S. I want to standardize my .45 platforms, and as much as I love 1911's I beat my Kimber up too much in the brush fishing and such.

 

I can get NIB G4's for 515. As with most guns thou, location is paramount..

 

I don't know where you live but a new G41 is $570 here. I think you can do better.

 

Used is used. New Glocks go for that price. I would offer $450 at the most.

Yeah PSA sells 'em brand new for $545 everyday. That's online, free shipping, no sales tax...
Used they go for about $400 here in south Florida.
But I wouldn't sell an M&P45 or Kimber to get it. I'd keep all my guns and buy a new Glock when I can afford it. Beat up a Kimber in the brush ? They love brush...

$400-425 here in the northwest. I can get a nice one for that price without a problem.

 

My Gen4 Glock 21 is worth every penny of what I paid for it, which was around $619.00 NIB. If it has the three mags & the backstrap kit is intact, tell the guy you want 2 boxes of factory ammo thrown in to make the deal. You won't be sorry you bought a Gen4 21, it's a great piece!

Taxes are high here. And lots of paper work to do.

 

Well one thing is for sure, prices sure vary by region. I have yet to see a G4 21 for less than $629 in MI, and you don't see many of them. Used they are rare. I work in the store part time, so I might be able to get it marked down a bit (but they are real sticklers on used pricing). I'm actually gonna have about 50-75 in gift certificates to put toward it too (earned in a promo).

As far as selling the M & P 45 full size, it's a good gun, I shoot it good, I just don't like the way it feels. And that's after some trigger work by Doug from ATEI. They are good guns and no doubt a competitive platform in 45, but I just shoot my Glocks better and they feel better finished to me. Also the aftermarket support is far better for Glocks. Plus the M & P 45 compact is not much smaller so there is no option for using the same platform in my carry gun like the 30S.

As far as the Kimber Pro CDP, it's a GREAT gun, but guns are tools. And to me a Glock 30S makes more sense for the same purpose, easier maintenance, more capacity, lighter, the ability to carry 13 round mags for reloads, and about the same footprint in a holster. And the reality is I can get one Glock a year on an employee deal so selling the Kimber will leave me about $600 richer and I need the money. In an ideal world I'd keep both. But in this economic recovery the money is important without giving up the function. So selling both will net me about 1600 (maybe more) and I'll have less than 900 into the 30S and 21 G4.

 

Sorry, didn't mean to give away the good purchase points: everyone wants you to pay more?! Yaaaaaaa for their wallets....

Glock 20/21 pistols are always more expensive than their smaller brethren by about $50. Locally, NIB G21s are selling for around $625-$650 and I'd expect a used version to be at least $100 cheaper at a minimum.

 

I agree with rbernie. The rule of thumb i use with Glocks is that the used model should be at least $100 cheaper than the price of a new one. So I wouldn't pay more than $480 for a used Glock 21.
