It was refreshing to see a a significant article on these cap and ball revolvers and the story surrounding General Grant's Remingtons in the September, 2018 American Riflemen magazine the other day. It seems like antique firearms are typically just a small footnote these days and this article covers several pages. Not technical, but interesting.

It is still nice to see these beautiful pictures in print form even in this digital age.

here is an online link if you don't get the magazine.

Oh ya. Good thing the wife had taken care of me earlier or I might of had a wet spot in my pants. Those where really great looking pistols. Too bad Pietta or Uberita doesn't take notice and offer a pair like that. With all the fancy new tech way of doing engraving it wouldn't take much to do it. Don't get the magazine - aren't we all members of the NRA ? I would hope so.
