Gentlemen’s knife

I've always carried a knife. If I got my pants on I got a knife. Back in the day when my work attire was a suit I carried a small Uncle Henry stockman. In those days I had to carry a lot of stuff on my belt and having a small handy knife was in order. Eventually I progressed to some of the small plastic single blade knives that carried well in a dress pant pocket. These days, I'm usually in jeans and I drive past the Spyderco factory store on a regular basis. I carry one on there smaller clip on folders.

Probably going to get flogged for this but SAK always felt like a knife for Subaru driving hipsters and college age women. :D
Swiss Army started making their signature knives in 1891, long before hipsters, Subaru incorporated, and many colleges admitted women. lol

It's handy for travel though, with a bottle opener, corkscrew, and can opener. Be hard to find an authority who treats it as a weapon, except maybe our own excessively strict TSA.

My most gentleman type knife is my grandfather's. Found it among his things after he and his wife passed. Not sure the maker, as it has nothing stamped on it. The blades feel like iron, but it is probably an early steel. My guess is it was made right around WWI time frame. What makes it gentlemanly, real ivory grips.
