I know a lot of folks have purchased these and seem happy with them.

Can I get a sense of what people have been paying and what condition they have been in? Any idea who has the best deal going on them?

AIM Surplus has them for $260, and I see that CDNN has them in both very good/excellent and like new conditions and I have asked to be sent the prices.

Thanks!

Matthew

I saw some at a gun show a couple of weeks ago that were ~$350. Still a good price for a Sig if you dont have the patience to order one.

As of a month ago, AIM had them for $249 in 80% shape and CDNN had them for $299 in 90%-95% shape. Retail, folks seem to want to treat them as Sigs and ask anywhere from $400 to $550.

Yesterday I paid $349 from a local shop. I know that I could buy one cheaper online, but by the time that I paid for shipping and transfer the savings would be minimal. Plus, I got to inspect the gun before the purchase choosing from three. The gun came in a blue plastic box with one spare mag. It is a CAI distributed gun.

As to condition, there was a good amount of holster wear (easily touched up if I want) but the internal part of the gun looks almost unfired. That isn't unusual for a German ex-police gun which seem to be much carried and little shot. This gun is from 1978 stamped "NW" for North Rhine-Westphalia.

I've heard of some of these guns being in basically what amounts to NIB condition with others not so much.

I paid $299 for mine. A lot of holster wear, but not shot too much apparently. Great little gun, but the single action trigger needs work, needs new sights too.
A very good value anywhere under $350 IMO.

I paid 369 + tax for mine at a gun show recently, but got one in nearly mint condition with the PW Arms stamped on more discreetly. There were other P6s selling for less, but in not such great condition. For that price, it's still a great deal (as compared to new ones)! I haven't taken mine to the range yet, but am confident that it will perform like a Sig should. Very nice gun.

FYI.

Parts are no longer being manufactured by Sig in Germany. About 300 barrels and about 300 Mags are being imported but after that there will be no Sig (german) parts for these guns.

If it is going to be a heavy shooter I would consider buying a second one for parts. Buy mags now. Once these 300 hit the shores you will not see more in country.

These are great pistols. I have a P225 and love it. Just remember that P6s were built to fire ball ammo and they do not always like hollow points. Dans ammo also have grade 1 guns like new for $299.

I just heard back from CDNN, Sig P6/225 in plastic case with with one mag:

Excellent $339.99
Very Good $299.99

Tempting.... ;-)

They have them for $300 and $260. I bought a slightly worn gun($260) and it is in great condition. Just a little holster wear, looks like mine was hardly fired.

Comes with 2 magazines, a holster, and blue hard plastic case.

I paid a premium for this one at Gander Mountain $459 but it had the plastic as well as the wood grips and Heinie Straight 8 Night Sights:

But it is a handy little shooter:

Picked one up at J&G Sales in Prescott AZ, (they also sell online), for $289 +tax with 2 mags, holster and plastic box.

They have several options. $249 for one with quite a bit of holster wear, add $19.95 for an extra mag, or $269 for select grade and add $19.95 for the extra mag. I went with the select and extra mag. They all come with the holster as well.

Mine has almost no visible wear inside or out and made a great addition to my collection of Sigs. If they don't sell out too fast I will probably pick up another one soon.

Mine from CDNN had no holster wear. It couldn't have had more than a box run thru it. Got a second at the gunshop, it's just as nice.

Picked up my P6 from Dans today and fired it tonight, I'll be ordering another on Monday!

I picked up mine for $359 at Turners in Pasadena, CA. It had some holster wear, but was practically pristine inside. It came with two original mags. I got a decent deal, for CA.

Got mine for $300 including 2 magazines and the insanely overbuilt police holster.

Has holster wear, but looks pretty clean inside - no pitting that I've been able to find. Obviously it was carried a lot, but it doesn't look like it was fired all that much.

I got mine for $350 incl. tax at a show (with two mags & I totally forgot to take the holster with me!) in about 90-95% condition. The guy said it had been refinished, but it really didn't look like it at all. Looked more like little wear on original finish.

Colt1903, that wood pair of grips looks sweet!

Picked up my second one today at J&G. Like the last one it's near perfect with almost no holster wear. $269.95 for their select ones. I also recieved the hammer spring kit from Wolff springs today that I ordered after buying the first one. Kit includes 4 springs to experiment with and find the best one. I installed the 16#, (lightest in the pack), but haven't had a chance to fire it yet. Feels good, just need to see if it works as good as it feels.

I ordered mine from AIMSurplus at the beginning of the month. I went with the $10 "upgrade" for a hand-picked finish. Already got 3 mags from J&G during the hour before they decided not to sell mags separately, so I'll have a total of 5 ($19 ea!).

AIMSurplus said they'd ship "end of April" and later more specifically "last week of April".... so I'm still waaaaiiiiting. I probably could've ordered from Dans or CDNN and had one by now since they're in stock, but I suppose I'm not in that big of a hurry.

As for springs, I'm going to see how the DA feels on mine because I've heard that while it's common to be stiff, some arrive and feel just fine. I've heard the 18# spring works best as far as lighter pull and no feed issues. Definitely let us know what the 16# does for you!
