Getting Ready For Steel Challenge With Iron Sights

I decided to try iron sights for a change. Here are my Volquartsen Black Mamba and my Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite with 5.5 inch target barrel, both withw green fiber optic sights installed instead of my normal C-More red dots.

After getting them sighted in, and remembering which way to move the rear sight, I cut the center out of the targets with both pistols.

I like the Mamba because of the sight radius and the fact it is much lighter, which will be good for target transitions during the Steel Challenge Match. I'll bring the Mark IV as a back up just in case.

I find I’m actually faster with irons for steel challenge at least on the faster stages. I basically was point shooting over the sights last time LOL. Good looking rigs; let us know how it goes.
