Has anyone any experience with the GG&G Surefire Impact Device?

If they let you bring a flashlight on a plane, would this pass as well? :D

There's a thread at the bottom of the page with TID in the title. Apparently someone has taken it on a plane, they make a rubber cover for it that makes it look less harmful and doesn't shred your pocket.

TNX. Looked for a tread about it but didn't find that one.
So where can you get this rubber cover?

Kobun, you are in Norway, right? Tell us the truth. You want this gizmo to use as a lighted and self heating ice scraper, don't you?

WOW! That was a very great idea! :D
Guess I should look into that. ;)
I have a SF D2, and I always have it in my pocket or in my waist band, where ever I go.

    K. :)

I'd like to find out if you can take this on a plane as well. It might justify my purchase of a sure-fire over yet another streamlight scorpion.

I recently went to NY, NY last November and my mini maglite and scorpion were my only security measures. Oh, well I also had a 300 page book that could double as a buckler. Next time, I'm making a plexiglass clip board instead. It'll be a lot lighter than that book!
