I have P95 and I was cleaning it and noticed some fingerprints within the bluing on the front of the slide. Is it from the factory or did I possibly do it. There is no rust and or pits and it looks smudged. I thought the finish should be harder than that. Just by chance how long would it take for wet or oily fingerprints to affect the bluing? It is less than 1 year old and I always wipe it down the same day used or within a couple days. I would take pictures but, it is only visible at certain light angles. I have a similar mark under the decocker lever that I positively did not do, kind of looks like a wide scratch that was covered by an extra liquid blue. The marks are lighter than the normal blue and would normally be noticed and do not seem to have damaged the metal. The fingerprints look smudged. What chemicals would dissolve blue? Could it be my fingerprints yes, but I already take great care to prevent rust and scratches. I use cotton gloves when cleaning and a full flap holster when in service. By the way I bought this NIB and it had only left the factory a couple months earlier and never left Prescott, it’s a Davidson gun.
