Ghost ring night sights?

You know the tritium vials you can get for 3-dot sights? (I've seen them mostly on pistols.) I love ghost ring sights on a rifle. Can I get any style of ghost ring that has some sort of glow-in-the-dark ring? And, of course, would need matching front bead for the muzzle end. Are there any such after-market kits?

(And, I admit, I did not search to see if this has been answered already.)

I've never seen the ring set up to glow but I have seen a ghost ring with a pair of dots in the ring that glow. It's a ghost ring during the day and a tritium 3-dot at night.

I would think having a glowing ghost ring would make it hard to see the front sight by drowning it out. I have also only seen rear sights that have two tritium vials inserted, but that is it.

Hmmm, besides drowning our the front sight's glow, that ghost ring is rather close to the eye. (Same difference, I guess.) When you hold a pistol at arms length, the rear sight is only a little closer to your eye than the front sight. With a rifle, your eye is right on top of that rear sight.

There has got to be sombody who has skinned this cat...

I have tritium front sights on a couple of my ARs and AK's. I also have/had rear sights that are lit on my AK's, and my experience with them kept me from buying the rears for the AR's.

With the sights I have for my AK's (Meprolights), the dots on both front and rear are the same size. This causes the dots on the rear sight to appear larger, blur, and be out of focus. You dont get a crisp, clear pistol type sight picture with them. If the rear sights vials were smaller, like the vials on a set I have on my one shotgun, then I think the results would be much better.

With the AK's front sight being forward and being a problem, I cant imagine having the dots right up close to my eye, like the AR's do.

When I replaced the rear sight on my one AK with its original rear sight, I found that I could readily use the front sight when the rifle was shouldered properly. This works even better with the AR's, as the rear sight is at your eye, and there are less alignment issues. Its more muscle memory than anything else, and if you dont get the alignment right, you usually dont see the front dot.

I would suggest you just by the front sight and see how it works for you. At least its the cheaper option initially, and if you feel you might want the rear, you can add it later.

I've got a set of GRs with tritium on my Benelli M1S90, they solved this issue by using much smaller vials on the rear ring. What I see is a large glow center, with two little alignment dots on the sides.

It works pretty well and I use it for beaver/muskrat control at night. The nightsights are completely useless when using a tactical light, but the beavers dive the second the light hits them, so for them it's the nightsights.

Thanks for your valuable experience. If the rear sight hugs my eye by muscle memory of my drawing the rifle up to my shoulder, then it does not need to be lit - if I can see the front sight glow through the (dark) ghost ring, I am at least mostly lined up.

Wow, those Trijicons are some top-shelf (and top dollar!) units.
Rifles:
1) Rossi M92 lever gun (now I use a Marble Arms Bulls-eye as the rear GR and a fiber-optic tubular light-gathering bead for the front - EXCELLENT set-up for dawn/dusk almost to pitch dark.)
2) Ruger Mini-14 (actually Mini-30, but I think they are the same RE sights)

Sounds good. Who makes/sells the tritium GR sets for the Benelli? I gather that is a shotgun (though Benelli does make rifles, too)? Oh, OK, I looked it up. Tactical shotgun. Looks like the rear sights are pretty far forward...
