GI style sling on .22 rifles?

I just received a canvas GI style sling directly from Appleseed's online store. I'd like to put it on either my Savage Mark II or my Marlin XT-22, but there doesn't seem to be a way to connect it to the small, roughly pea-sized sling studs.
Is there some sort of adapter I need to buy?

yep, you need sling loops. try e-gunparts or uncle mikes. get the 1 1/4" sling mounts

quick release. works well for position changes without having to adjust the sling as much.

Inch and a quarter I believe. I have a GI sling on my 10/22 Liberty Rifle. Don't forget the tech sights.

I've got no idea why Easy linked you that part. That's probably the part you already have on the GI sling.

Just get a couple of standard sling loops for normal sling studs and thread the sling through your new loops instead of the old attachment hardware (keeping the obvious bits).

I like these: Talon Sling Loops, but not for any particularly good reason.

For extra credit, you can drill and epoxy in a couple of grovtec flush cups and use QD sling loops instead.

Tech sights sells a 1" version of the GI web sling. 1" swivels are more common on commercial rifles and slings. Just another option.

I prefer the QD swivels for appleseed shoots.
