I would like to know if the Girsan Regard MC can use Beretta 92FS mags? I have my eye on an FDE Regard. The gun only comes with one mag, but I have lots of Beretta 92 mags.

I have been reading, but I cannot get a definitive answer other than, "I think they do", or "they should".

Is there a difference between the Regard MC and the Regard 92? Found a couple of sources that indicate the Girsan Regard 92 will take 92FS mags.

"Best of all, the Regard 92 is compatible with Beretta 92 magazines."

"FEATURES: BERETTA® 92 Style S/A Pistol, Drift Adjustable Sight, Ambidextrous Safety, Accessory Rail, Decocker, Lightweight Design Uses all standard OEM and aftermarket Beretta 92 magazines"

I own one of these pistols and can confirm they absolutely take Beretta mags. I recently sold all of my Beretta mags to match what was already in the gun (the gun comes with 1 18-round Mec Gar).

FWIW my gun is marked Regard MC.

I was looking for Info about mags too. Thanks. I will say that after shooting my new Girsan Regard MC today, I was impressed with it. Very accurate too. This from someone who is more of a long rifle kind of guy. If you buy one, you will not be disappointed.

On Greg Cote's site, the Mec Gar mags are advertised as fitting the Girsan. I came across a Beretta mag that is not marked as Mec Gar recently that is 17rd. It was cheap enough that I took a chance on it. It fit and locked in securely, but it doesn't lock back the slide. I haven't tried to shoot it yet, I don't know if it will feed correctly.

Looking at one myself. Users say 18 and 15 round mags will lock the slide back.

I will know this afternoon for a fact if 15 round Beretta mags work, but I know that the 17 round Beretta magazine at my LGS would not hold the slide open on empty magazine.

*** Yes - 15 round surplus magazines will hold the slide open on empty.
