Went to a local gun show recently where I handled a few G17's. Found several 2nd and 3rd generation models at typical gun show over priced fashion. I fell in love with the smooth 2nd gen. grip almost immediately. When did Glock switch over to the 3rd generation frame with rail and finger groves? Pictures of your G17 2nd gen are welcomed! Would anyone here have a reputable business that sells refurbished G17’s?

    IdaOne,
I went with Summit Gun Broker when I wanted to pick up a 3rd gen g17. Just follow strat81's link, find what you want, and give them a call. I talked to Mark several times while arranging my purchase and he was great to work with. And if for some reason he does not have what you want listed, just call him. He always has stuff in stock but not listed. Good guy to buy from.

I'll second the Summit Gunbroker recommendation. I've bought four guns from Mark so far, and he's been a pleasure to deal with. Be patient though, as he's sometimes hard to get hold of. BTW, you'll get quicker response with a phone call vs. email.
