Glock 18 magazine

i'm replacing the floor plate on my high capacity glock mag. with magpul's floor plate with the little rubber handle. Unfortunately upon removing the+2 original floor plate the magazine insert was propelled with some force into the living room where i'm unable to find it (for the last 4 mos.)
Does anyone know if I should replace it with an old or new insert?

If I'm not mistaken, the "old" type inserts were for use with the non-fully metal lined magazines. The "new" type insert is for everything else. I'm pretty sure the long Glock magazine for the G18 is of the fully metal lined type.
