I have a gen1 Glock 23 that does not have the integrated rail. Does anyone know if Glock replaces the frames with newer models and around how much it would cost?

You actually have a 2nd generation frame....you can call Glock at 770-432-1202 to find out about replacement for a 3rd generation frame. It will have a new serial number. Glock has replacement frames that they use to repair pistols with but I'm not sure if they use the same group of frames to have voluntary replacements done.....not sure about the price for a voluntary replacement, but it is probably between $85~$150......I've just had repair replacements done and they were free. Let us know what they say.....

Glockmeister offers this service, but their website doesn't seem to be working properly right now. If Glock tells you to pound sand, you might want to call Glockmeister.

Glock used to upgrade frames for $150. If they still do it, you send them the gun (frame), they'll put a current generation "lower" on it and send you the gun back. Call Glock to find out the specifics, but your serial numbers will no longer match. Glockmeister, at the moment, no longer offers this service. He's not doing any work on guns, nor is he selling them. Only selling parts right now. Hopefully this will change in the future.

Now Glocks aren't worth a lot of money used, but if you do this, your resale value will positively tank. People will look at the mismatched SN as this being a parts gun.

Glock won't tell you to beat it, but be prepared for a significant wait unless you're LE.
