Hi all,

I'm wondering if 124 grain loads are subsonic in this handgun. I realize that they vary slightly between each round and loading, but speeds should be relatively close.

The 26 barrel is 3.46". 115 grain loads should be supersonic, and 147 grain rounds should be subsonic, but how about 124 grain loads in this shorter barrel?

124 +p should be supersonic in a G26, just a semi-educated guess, probably around 1150-1250 FPS. Most non +p 124 grn rounds would probably be slightly below supersonic, though some are hotter than others and a few might pass the sound barrier.

I haven't yet fired any +P rounds even though the handgun is rated for it. I'd probably avoid any kind of really hot stuff, 35,000 psi is enough.

124GR should be supersonic in it as well...check the manufacturer for speeds and it may give you a gauge but out of the 26 (the barrel isn't really all that short) it should...unless marked to be subsonic...
