26 ammos cheaper and the more you shoot it the better a defense gun it becomes. Plus I find I am more accurate with the 26 than the 27 its also been proven more accurate by a few groups with new shooters and so if my wife ever had to pick it up and use it I prefer she hits what she aims at.

I have owned and carried many different handguns. The G26 is one of my favorites. In addition to being great fun at the range, it is a fantastic concealed carry firearm. I also own a G19. While the G19 is one of Glock's most popular models, I would pick the G26 over the G19 if I had to make a choice between the two. In respect to the choice between a G26 and a G27, I know a number of experienced shooters who have had difficulty shooting the .40 S&W in the sub-compact Glock. I would NOT recommend a G27 as a first handgun.

I would say the G26 or the two. For many of the same reasons that have already been stated. I know you stated no other suggestions, however as others have stated the G19 gives you the ability to conceal almost as good as the 26 or 27 because the grip is what is difficult to conceal, yet it will shoot more like a full sized handgun. That being said I am not a fan of Glock's as they don't fit my hand very well, but I feel the compact Glock's are the most versatile and would be a better first handgun. I hope this helps.
Good Luck and Be Safe!
