I carry my 640-1 daily in a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster and it has been a wonderful companion. The holster material is tacky and never pulls out of my pocket on the draw. It also deforms easily when I need to pull the holser out of my pocket before or after work, where I can't carry.

I wanted to try pocket carry with my G26 as well. I understand that it won't be as easy as the J frame, but the thicker G26 has several benefits. I also wear cargo pant and shorts when I'm away from work, and on my land. The G26 should disappear in the cargo pants.

What do ya'll recommend for a holster with the G26? I'm thinking of adding a GAP mag floor plate extension (sanded down a bit), as the G26 jumps around in my hand. My J frame is rock solid with my Uncle Mikes boot grip.

I went with a Kramer horse hide IWB holster with my G26 and find it considerably more comfortable and easier to hide than my SP101 was.

I also added the floor plate extention to one of my mags, but find the pistol easier to handle and shoot without it - and just this weekend converted back to the standard floor plate on both mags.

I also carry +1, and wouldn't even consider pocket carry...

I have a FIST kydex pocket holster on the way, I think that would be a good pocket carry method.

You've got to be pretty good sized or have some extra large pockets to carry a G26 comfortably. I've tried it and I just couldn't pull it off. I've found that anything heavier or larger than an airweight is a bit too much.

However it dissapears completely on a IWB belt holster.

I successfully pocket carried a G19 in a Desantis Nemesis holster, and I'm only 5'6'', 125 lbs. I could pull it off because I have a good selection of baggy cargo shorts and pants, and also as a college student my standards of dress are below that for most people. If you don't need to go anywhere important and you have a good belt there's no reason why you can't make the G26 work.

Now as far as comfort is concerned, that's purely personal taste, and no advice will replace actually trying to see how you like it, so I would say start cheap (like the Nemesis or something similar) before springing for custom leather. That's what I did, and I was so pleased with the Nemesis that I didn't upgrade.

I generally carry a S&W 442/642 and a Glock 26. The S&W's are a pleasure to Pocket Carry. The Glock is a bit cumbersome although I do carry ir in a DeSantis Nemisis also. In the winter I prefer to carry in my jacket breast pocket although I prefer to carry the Glock 26 IWB in either a Galco or Uncle Mikes.

I carry a G-26 in a pocket holster from pocketholsters.com, I carry it in my right front pocket, the leather flap helps breakup the outline and also helps with the draw by the flap pushing out against the pocket creating a larger opening to draw the weapon out easily. It has never gotten hung up when drawing it, great holster.

I also have the Nemesis. I have carried the 26 in my pocket in cargo shorts with big front slash pockets, but it's heavy. It actually conceals a little better than the snubbie because it's shorter from front to back, but it's harder to draw due to grip shape.

I'm not as comfortable with a round chambered in the 26 with pocket carry as I am with IWB or OWB.

Tried the Nemesis. Carries well, however, the holster covers 25% of the front strap. I'm going to take it back.

I think I'm going to look at a better pocket holster and also an IWB holster. I have no problem with pocket carry with the Glock--just like I have had no problem with pocket carry for my J frame. As long as the trigger guard is covered, it's not an issue.

I have a pocket holster for the G26 and 27. It's a Don Hume pocket holster, and it works pretty well. I got mine here:
http://www.gunnersalley.com/

This gun will hide and ride well in a thicker pair of Dockers, or jeans. It won't work with suit pants at all. It probably won't work if you add the extended grip mags, though I always carry mine as the spare.

By far one of the best carry guns on the market.

I also use the Nemesis for pocket carry of my G26... it only works with certain pairs of pants that have deeper pockets. Also, I would leave one mag with a stock 10 round flat floor plate. Mag extensions make pocket carry of the G26 even more challenging.

My problem with chambering a round in the 26 in my pocket is not that the trigger is not covered by the Nemesis. It covers the trigger fine. But to draw it requires me to grip it, then regrip as it comes out to get a full firing grip. That regrip seems a little dangerous with a round chambered. Not everyone will think so. That's ok with me.

I've made quite a few pocket holsters for the Glock 26 sized guns and even one for a Glock 23. Personally I can't handle the weight, but some can.

One style of sub-compact holster:

Other style up-sized for a Glock 23:
