Do you wear body armor in this particular 3-gun competition?

Curious: What competition are you doing? Drop leg draw is so slow compared to other options.

The OP said, 3-gun. I'm not familiar enough with the game to know what folks are using to know if the drop leg is a good choice for the OP.

I have never had the need for a light in 3 gun but I made my own holster from kydex that would do what you want.

I shoot with the guy who makes Ready Tac holsters for CPWSA. The Hawk is his 3-gun drop holster, but if you wanted a light, you would have to take the gun to him for it to be custom made.

That's why I asked if he's required to wear body armor in that particular flavor of 3-gun. From what I've come to understand, the only benefit to a drop leg holster (the only reason to ever use one) is if your chest rig or body armor ride so low that it obstructs the use of a standard belt holster. It wasn't developed because it's "better." It's (apparently) widely recognized as an inferior carry method, but if the user needs it to solve a problem, it's worth it.

Anywho... The OP can carry his G34 in an ankle rig for all its going to affect anyone else. Curious situation though.
