glock gen 3,4 differences?

What is the different between the gen 3 and gen 4 glock 23 and is it a significant difference in any way? thanks in advance.

GEN4 has:

RTF3 texture

Add on back straps

Large, reversible mag catch

Dual recoil spring

Non of the changes are really significant. There have been many reports of GEN4 problems, so keep that in mind.

Differences? The Generation 3 guns all work.

All the reported problems with the Gen4 Glocks have been with the 9x19mm Gen4 Glocks (17 & 19).
There have been no reported problems with the .40S&W, .357SIG and .45GAP Gen4 Glocks.

There have been posts about the .40 models having the same problems as the 9mm. FTF/FTE/poor trigger/strange extractor quality and design/RSA falling apart.

Many, many FTF.

My Generation 3 G35 and 22, both with a light mounted! have NEVER jammed.

This particular GEN4 is so bad it is unbelievable. The recoil was clearly less snappy, but the tens of FTF's in exchange were no bargain.
