why would they not discontinue the gen3? The gen4 isn't so much of a departure from the gen3 that they need to continue making it IMO.

Didn't some Glocks have jamming problems when lights were attached? That might explain the rail's omission.

some of the gen 3 22/23's had this issue, but it didn't affected any other models.

I had the opportunity to shoot a Glock rep's Gen4 G27 last week. To my surprise, I found I didn't care all that much for the smaller back strap. I had thought about having a grip reduction done on my G27 in the past and, for the moment, I'm glad I didn't. That said, perhaps with extended trigger time on a gen 4 my opinion might change. YMMV
I also didn't find the new mag release to be as obtrusive as I thought it would be. Again,YMMV.

Until Gen4 Glocks are approved for sale in California, they will continue to make Gen3 Glocks.

I haven't heard if there is any plans to sell Gen4 Glocks in California.

Ya, I'm surprised they didnt put a light rail on the babies. Theres smaller pistols with rails on them than the Glock 26. Not sure why Glock felt people wouldnt want it as the rail doesnt impede any function or draw.

I know, I mean it doesn't kill the gun but I have a 3rd gen, the gun feels fine in my hand, I'm right handed, so for me no reason to buy one. I'm not bashing anyone that has or will, I was just hoping that they would have added a rail. I'd rather have something I may never need than not have it and need it. That's the whole reason I own a gun anyways, just in case.

To everyone that gets/has one congrats and hope you enjoy it. I was actually thinking about buying a 19 but they had a 19c NIB, I got for $500 and some change. I know don't need the compensator but for the price why not.

Which means Glock will continue to sell Gen3 models! I am happy with Gen3 so that is fine by me.

No offense to anyone but I hate Cali. Neighbors came from their, my woods butt up to their land, was out squirrel hunting and had the cops called on me.
