I know Glock sez not to, but is that only for lead, are plated and FMJ one OK? Shooting G19 and G21.

I've been shooting reloaded ammo in my Glock 19 for 20 years now and as long as I use jacketed bullets there's no issues but the standard poly barrel leads like crazy when I tried cast bullets.
Personally I wouldn't reload either .40 S&W or .45 ACP in the Glock as I've seen too many case failure KB's over the years in those calibers. Hand loads with new cases or perhaps once fired from another pistol with better case support wouldn't be a problem for me if the loads where within manual guidelines and standard pressures.
Plated bullets should be OK depending upon the thickness of the plating and if velocities are kept in the low to mid level. I've picked up plated bullets on the range and they have the platting stripped by the rifling exposing the lead. I seem to get more copper fouling with plated bullets than typical jacketed bullets. Speer Gold Dots are a plated bullet but the plating is very thick and equal to a jacketed bullet in every way.

Have shot several hundred thousand jacketed/plated reloads in 40S&W, 9mm and 45ACP in multiple Glocks without issues the past 15 years.
If you are concerned about reloading 40S&W due to higher pressure concerns, use mid range load data with powders like W231/HP38/Green Dot that have "broader load range".
With that said, I did not exceed max load data (I typically loaded to mid-high range of published load data) and I field-stripped the Glocks after each range session and cleaned them.
I still have all of my fingers - Be safe and have fun shooting reloads in your Glocks!

Like gearhead says, no gun company will approve of reloaded ammunition.

To overcome the leading issue resulting from the polygonal barrel, get a Lone Wolf barrel with "normal" rifling. Use the Lone Wolf for cast bullets, and switch back to the factory barrel for copper stuff. I've shot about 2k of my .40S&W reloads this way with super cheap cast bullets, saved the cost of the barrel several times over now.

My brother and I shoot together a lot. He shoots a G20 and has never had a problem with fmj, lead, or plated. And we've shot a bunch of all of them.
