I'm gonna be in Vegas/Henderson for a bit. Does anyone recommend any gun shops? I'm not really interested in shooting (don't need one with a range) there. I'm just looking for realistic prices. A couple of the larger ones I've been to have ridiculous prices. Thanks

There's a Gun Show coming up...'Crossroads of the West Gunshow', Tropicana Hotel Aug 1-2, 2009, Las Vegas

Probably any or all of the local Gun Shops are worth visiting...

'Bargain Pawn' is probably my favorite...

Bargain Pawn absolutely. Best used gun selection in the valley, and a decent selection of new stuff. Glenn runs the gun dept and is a good guy. It's on Las Vegas Blvd North, though, in a really nasty area.

Discount Firearms is on Highland, a couple blocks west of the Strip (and just north of Spearmint Rhino ;)) has good selection and I think better prices than most shops in town. There's also Bass Pro Shop.

Las Vegas Gun Stores

When I lived there, the best I found was "Accuracy" gun shop on Boulder Highway. Rick was the owner, good prices, helpful employees ( off duty LE). This is a small shop with a gun smith on premises. He always had a good selection of new and used guns..

Las Vegas Gun Shops

I am now living in South Carolina. I am having some trouble finding a good "Quality" gun store in the area. Prices on used guns seem high and the firearms are not well cared for. There are gun shows but again high prices.

Any suggestions? I live in the Up State region.

Henderson Defense is a good company, but they pretty much sell only Evil Rifles, and their storefront is about 5 square feet. If you want an AK or CETME, it's an excellent place to go.

Your best bet is the gunshow at the Tropicana Hotel this weekend (Aug. 1 & 2). Browse around, handle some iron, haggle a fake deal, buy some gear. Most of all, have fun and stay safe! :D
