Can anyone tell me if I am getting a good deal? Once again my buddy is in a rut and needs cash.

He has a very nice S&W 626-4 44magnum mountain gun

And a para p16 limited he is asking 500$ each. Should I jump on this deal?

Yes!

The Mountain gun is going for $800-$900 & up.
When you can even find one for sale.

The Para. .40 S&W for about the same.

I'd do it in a heartbeat, but since its your good buddy give him an opportunity to get them back when he's back on his feet. That's what I'd do anyway.

Yes by all means as well as giving him the opportunity to buy them back if you ever decide to sell them.

Thanks guys going to jump on both of them. I will be eating top ramen for a month or two. I told him when he gets back on his feet and wants to buy them back I would sell them back to him for the same price.

You can never have too many good guns or too many good friends.

Whenever I have made similar deals like yours with friends we've always agreed to give the selling party the right of first refusal if the buyer ever wants to sell or trade them at a later date. It has always worked out really well for everyone concerned.

And nothing wrong with eating ramen noodles for awhile; just watch the sodium content.

If you decide not to take one, please give us a crack at it on the board, thanks.

That is good of you to offer them back when he can afford them.

During the depression my Grandfather took in many guns as collateral for friends who were down on their luck.

And with Obamanomics, we are still in a recession, 5 years and counting.
