I had to talk about a paper I wrote for my Weekend College physical science class....I am one of two traditional students in the group
My paper was on the physics of firearms....I talked briefly about what I wanted everyone else in the room to learn if they didnt know it already....that you cant trust the media to give you and accurate picture of firearms....said a blurb about how Newtons axioms are related to firearms, and then the inevitable political discussion followed....several people spoke up on the futility of gun control ("criminals arent going to give up there guns")
several people expressed support for CCW (which is going through the courts and legistlature in OH right now)
my professor (a nice pro gun gal!) was supportive also
I even got in a shot about the AWB sunsetting and how its restrictions are illogical (this bayonet lug turns me into a killer!)
It was pretty cool to be able to talk to about 25 people about guns in a logical manner and saw that a lot of people there agreed with me

Wait... this discussion was on a College Campus?
Which planets are in alignment right now?
I gotta go buy a lottery ticket. :p

yes, it was on a college campus
however, there were several things were lucky :)
conservative prof,
conservative students (farmers, family people, old and young),
NW OH is fairly conservative, but Im still glad I got to do it!
