Good gunshop experience.

I went to my local gunshop to get a new rear sight installed on my CZ
and get the one on my Taurus drifted back to center.

Don, the owner takes them in the back and comes back a minute later
"all done"

He wouldn't take payment "don't worry about it".

This gesture is going to earn him all the business I can give him.

It's far too rare to find folks not grubbing for every dime even though I would have gladly paid him $20 for his work.

The gunshop will make far more in return business from you than the $20 or so they would have gotten by charging you for that work. And since you were obviously well pleased, you are more likely to recommend them to someone else...someone who may make that shop their exclusive supplier of all things firearms related.

Same reason why I give nearly all my business to 1 local shop...I know that I am not their biggest customer in terms of $$$, but they ALWAYS treat me like I am. And that goes a VERY long way with me.
