I was trying to work up a cast-bullet load for my SKS. I am using a 155-grain .312 Lee mold, and am unable to get the gun to cycle. I am using Alliant 2400, which seems to be the standard for cast-bullet SKS loads.

I tried 13.5 grains and have some 14 grain loads worked up. Has anyone had results with their Yugo SKS and 2400 powder with this bullet?

Great article, thanks. I'll up my load a little and try 14.5, 15, and 15.5 grain loads.

The 13.5 grainer was pretty quiet, but I think that the accuracy would have been better if I had thrown the bullets at the target instead- try nearly two foot groups at 75 yards. I also got sooty necks and a nasty, fouled chamber.
