Probably thinking, well, okay, some dude bought a Leupold MK4 scope. Big deal.

But it isn't a MK4. It's a VXII 3-9x40. I bought the scope about two weeks ago, and sent it into the custom shop over at Leupold, and had them fit the M1 adjustments on them.

They just started to do this modification to 1" tube scopes recently.

Worked out perfectly for me, cuz I was considering a Mark 4 3-9x40 PR scope. This was only slightly more expensive, and now I don't have to worry about turret caps.

Can you tell I am excited. :D

That's awesome IGB!! I just bought that same Leupold scope a few weeks ago. (Had no idea they could do such upgrades.... Hmmmmm I'll file that away for future reference.)

What reticle did you go with? (I went with the LR Duplex. I LIKE it)

Jaim03,

I went with the wide duplex. I figure I can just make the adjustments if I am going to take a longer shot than I can through regular hold-over.

Here is a Model 70 Featherweight .30-06 that I bought new in 1962. It originally had a Weaver K4 and I replaced the old K4 with the 2x7 Vari-X IIc. This is my first Leupold scope and it is a beauty.....
