I've looked at my gun shops, Dicks, Fred Myer, Cheaper Than Dirt........and the list goes on and on. It's like God is playing a cruel trick on me. He put this awesome gun in my possession with no ammo to shoot it. Also, I paid 650 for it, it's brand new, a gen 3. Did I pay a bit too much?

That seems a lot for a Glock, but it's a good pistol that you'll enjoy shooting long after the price is forgotten. I get my ammo from the reloading bench, customized for my needs. :)

I heard they banned the sale of 10mm ammo in Oregon, don't know if it's true.

I love my Glock 20sf. Midwayusa.com has Doubletap 10mm in stock, its expensive but its good full power ammo.

They are behind because of all the craziness, but for good ammo at good prices order from these guys. www.georgia-arms.com. 10mm ammo here.http://georgia-arms.com/search.aspx?find=10mm It may take a while to get it in stock, but you'll run into that with most all ammo right now.

I live close enough to buy locally or at area gunshows and don't have to worry about shipping. Their ammo is about all I've used in handguns for years for practice/plinking ammo. No problems. I keep a box or 2 of Double Tap ammo around for the times I need full power stuff. I highly recommend it as well.

It must be local. Here in my neck of the woods I can find 10 mm but no 9 mm or even .22 cal.

Just to add info on the HPR Ammunition. It is full power 10mm ammo specs claim 180g XTP 1270fps.

I have shot a half of a box and they are stout. I compared the recoil to hand loads with 9g's of Power Pistol!

My Sportsman's Warehouse has big piles of AE & HPR 10mm. If you have a SW locally, might give them a call.

In addition to the Georgia Arms mentioned earlier, this stuff seems to have a pretty good rep:

    https://www.pbrammo.com/catalog/ammunition-caliber/10mm

I have not tried either yet--so far I am only shooting my handloaded range ammo. Many (most?) 10mm owners handload their ammo. Much like the .41 Mag and the .45LC, it is a cartridge that often suffers from lack of availability, lack of variety and steep prices. Handloading "almost" makes those problems disappear. Almost. :)

And that is why you have a variety of these available...

Have you considered a .40S&W conversion barrel?
They work real slick in 10mm Glocks. Just a quick barrel swap and you have a lot more ammo options.

If you stick with 10mm, you will eventually get sucked into reloading. That's what happened to me, anyway. Not that reloading components are very easy to get at the moment, either...

To shoot the 10mm much you almost have to get into reloading. Or as mentioned you can buy a .40 S&W conversion barrel for the G20 and it lets you shoot .40 from it. All you need is the barrel, you must use the 10mm mags. When I had a 10mm I had a .40 conv. barrel and it worked well.

You could also buy a Gen3 G21 upper for it to make it a .45 ACP G21. The G20/21 use the same frame.

I don't have a 10mm but I can speak from experience in my .45acp pistols that Georgia Arms and HPR ammo are both really quality stuff. I do know Georgia Arms is probably way behind given the mad rush and their good prices. I was surprised to see them at the Nations Gun Show held in Chantilly, VA last weekend. The had a long line so I didn't bother to see what they had for sale.

I will never understand no parking and long lines at gun shows especially in South East where at most shows 50% or more tables do not even have gun on them. The ones held at different locations EVERY weekend from same organizers are pretty much wast of time to attend.

Often true, though, in general, I've had good luck at the Nation's Gun Show in Chantilly. In January, I found a nice S&W Safety Hammerless for a good price. Last week, I found some more .38 S&W for cheaper than I could have bought it online and a pack of Large Pistol primers I couldn't find anywhere (sold out online or in all the LGS) that were at the standard $30 price. That gun show though is huge and most tables (90%) do have guns/gun stuff so the selection if probably much better than most gun shows. It's the only one I really go to and typically not all that often. I think it really depends on the show.

    Reload.

10mm is one of the easiest rounds to reload. The case is an easy size to handle. The brass is thick. The pressures are well understood and there is a lot of data for it.

It is my personal favorite at the reloading bench and at the firing line. I think I have reloaded around 50,000 rounds for it so far.

I got a ton of Sheepdog ammo for my 10mm. Was a good price for some stronger than average.

Btw, I highly recommend getting the wolf 20# recoil spring for your glock.
