I don't know the weight but it suits my purposes.

Red dot up top, green laser down below. I like being able to pull and shoot without having to unfold or assemble

That's a sweet underfolder!

WHERE did you find a stainless steel underfolder for a 10/22!? Is it still in production?

I want a "shoulder thing that goes up".

I think this might be the source. Scroll down through the entire selection.

Yes! You beat me to it, I was just looking them up. There are 2 versions that only differ in how straight the stock unfolds too. I went with the iron sights stock which has a slight angle too it when unfolded. This works great for me even with the red dots. The scope version is straight when unfolded putting your cheek higher. I will post a pick of mine unfolded in a little bit.

Edit: Picture added.

On the other version of the folding stock the stock locks in place with the bars straight with the rest of the stock. I wavered back and forth on which to get. I am happy I got the stock with the slight angle in it. It works well for me with the red dot and a 3-9 scope with a low detachable picatinny mount.

P.S. I am impressed with the build and sturdiness of the stock. It does not have an excessive flimsy feeling like I feared it might. The only slight annoyance is that it didn't come with a free "A-Team" bumper sticker.

The other version of the stock for reference:

I hate to say it -- but I might be at the point in my life where I'm not inclined to think about survival anything... o_O

But just to play the game -- I have a T/C Contender in a couple of configurations that might fit the bill, depending on where and what I'm trying to survive. :) The frame definitely isn't the lightest on earth, but it takes down nicely with a screwdriver that can be part of a SAK or multitool.

One possible configuration for brush-busting -- a carbine with 16.25" .44 magnum barrel...

Another possibility is this 14" .22LR configuration with Shockwave stabilizer... I call it my "Hammer of Squirrel"... :)

Granted, neither is "ideal"... But hopefully, it allows me at least a toe-hold in the "game"... :)

I'd like to see a thread of where ya gonna be surviving at or bugging out to. Do own land in the country? Or are you gonna set up camp tresspassing on someone else's property. I have a bug-off" plan. Not a survival/bug out plan.

Every time I hear about a "survival rifle" I think about a canoe gun or ATV gun. Kind of the rougher use version of truck guns. Shotguns in light handy configuration, single shot or lever carbines, just guns that are "there when you need them". Backpacking guns are just the lightweight versions of these.

For me, single shots have been my favorite survival guns. A handi rifle or shotgun is great to just have with you. I have an ATI I believe single shot 20 ga with a butt cuff as my survival gun. Holds a few different shells on the butt, and it's cut down to 19" for compactness, fits in a day pack pretty easy. Just insurance in case I get lost and need to turn some wildlife into dinner. And with my luck shooting some wildlife would bring out a game warden to "rescue" me...

I have a similar underfoldeer stock on a 10/22 with a TacSol fluted barrel and a 2.5-7X scope; weight is 4# 13 ozs.

Also, those stocks are down in price....paid $158 for mine, same stock is now $124!

I built an 8” AR and with my 308 Ti suppressor the concussion was okay but without the suppressor it wasn’t. Also the “accuracy” (if you could call it that) varied from 18” to 2ft at 100 yards. 25 to 50ft is around 6-9”, other people with shorties seem to think I either have a shot-out or bad barrel.
I prematurely named it Slayer, but unless you’re pretty close you’d be lucky to hit your poi

You're getting free hand pistol sized groups with a rifle on a bench. Definitely something seriously wrong. My guess would be barrel as well. I have yet to see an AR with a pistol length gas system that worked well.

It's either the barrel or the ammo you're using, something's wrong with those groupings. Mine is set up for maybe out to 50 yards which is why I have a red dot as opposed to a scope on it. I can see you're using a standard muzzle brake when you take the silencer off, ya need a linear compensator, it will help a lot better with the recoil and flash.
