Now did she pick the gun? or did you pick it for her?

This is difference between you sleeping on the couch or not, if she doesn't like it.:D

I have found that its best to take a girl to the range, let her shoot many different guns, then let her pick the gun SHE wants.

Tends to keep her happy, and any arguments to a minimum.

After a trip with my now ex wife to the range, she fell in love with the Springfield XD 9mm. The later, her second gun was a Sig 228.

Shooting and owning a gun that she picked, made her love for shooting stronger.

Yeah, that's a good point. My wife wanted a 9mm (she's been using a Bersa and P3AT, both .380s) and she didn't care for what I currently owned (CZ, Glock, Sig, Steyr, etc), but when we did a little shopping, she really liked the feel of the SR9c...so that's what I ended up getting her.

She loves it, but magazines are expensive! I gave it to her for an early Christmas present before I deployed. She's only taken it out twice by herself and we took it out together after she received it. Never had an issue and she loves everything about it. It wasn't even on my radar as I was looking at S&W's MP9c, Sprinfield EMP (which I really wanted her to "pick":D) and the Beretta PX4 Storm. She saw the Ruger and really liked how it handled, liked the features and sights...that settled it.

Let us know how the range session goes!

Made her promise she liked it if she did and tell me if she didn't and I would get her a new one...she likes the look and she's shot one like it before and liked it....if she doesn't end up liking it or finds one she likes better then looks like I got me a new gun

well unfortunantly my GF had to work but i went out with my dad and brother and shot about 150 rounds with no trouble..it still needs to be zeroed in but it wasnt to far off...so far no problems an hopefully my girlfriend will be able to go next time
