Picked it up from my FFL this afternoon. This thing feels sweet!

CZ75 SP-01 Tactical. Yes, it's tactical:cool: I haven't gotten a chance to shoot it yet, but I'm enjoying just cuddling with it - errrr...ummm, I mean, handling it.

All of you who have been singing the praises of CZ now have a new member of the choir!

Looks nice, let us know how it shoots. Looks a little plain though, the lack of red dot on the safety gets me somehow. I gave my cz the nail polish treatment

Looks great. What makes it "Tactical"?

It's a 'tactical' version of the CZ 75B with a rail, tritium night sights, an ambi decocker, and the frame has an upswept braver tail. The only difference between the SP-01 and the SP-01 tactical is the decocker.

These are EXCELLENT guns.

I have (among many other CZs) the SP-01 and the SP-01 Phantom. I love them.

You might like to add some nice VZ grips to your new SP-01 Tac. https://vzgrips.com/

Well, the non-"Tactical" versions of the SP-01 also have a light rail, so that is not the defining factor.

So the decocker makes it "Tactical". Wow, I guess I can write "Tactical" in crayon on the slide of my CZ-75D PCR and upgrade it to tactical now because it is a decocker. Maybe I should sell my 75B, and Kadet because they are not decockers, huh? :D

Anyway, nice score on the SP-01. The manual safety model, not Tactical is on my list. :)

I decock my manual safety firearms with my Tactical thumb. lol!

Enjoy the new piece i am sure you will love it. If the trigger feels gritty get some snap caps and practice trigger pull a few hundred times and it will smooth out. Just put a little bit of oil on it when you do.

That is one drop-dead sexy // mean-ass looking pistol. I have contemplated adding one to go with my CZ-75B Stainless just because it looks so effin' awesome!

Your pistol will shoot like you cannot believe. Very high quality, and very accurate!

I like all of CZs handguns, but the 3 I really wanted were the 97, PCR, and stainless 75. Couldn't get the stainless and now they are hard to find at a decent price.

That SP-01 looks great Atbat! Like others have said, throw a snap cap in and snap away. these guns break in wonderfully. They are very accurate too. I don't own a CZ that isn't scary accurate.

Great looking CZ. I'm not suggesting that you do so, but out of curiousity can that magwell be removed or is it built into the gun?

Thanks guys. I'm pretty excited (in case that didn't come across in my first post)...

haha, I'd like to see that! I'm not sure why they call it tactical. As far as I know the only differences are the decocker instead of a manual safety and the tritium night sights.

I think it can be removed, but I'm not sure. Either way that would be outside my skill set/know-how.

Thanks, I'll definitely check them out. What difference could I expect? (i.e. thinner, better grip, better looks, etc).

Can't wait to shoot this, but it looks like it won't be this weekend :( I will take y'alls advice and use some snap caps.

The large base pad on the magazine gives it an 18 round capacity. You can instead use 16 round flush fit CZ 75B magazines, but I think there is a very small gap.

Very nice looking!. The magwell is a nice touch as well as the decocker.

How is the trigger? I assume its da/sa. Is the reset long?

They are unicorns. I've been looking for a manual safety SP-01 Shadow for some time. Similar to the OP's just without the decocker.

Love the Sp-01 Series pistols - the Tactical is on the wish list, but I am enamored of my CZ SP-01 Phantom, great pistola!
Congrats, sir, welcome to the addicition!

I'm jealous... I've wanted one of those for quite awhile. I'm not due another 9mm combat pistol for quite some time, though. :(

Congrats. I looked a like new one last summer. Held and fondled it, then put it back. About the time I pulled in the driveway, the CZitis bug bit me again. Went back the the gm shop........and it was already sold......my luck. Maybe next time.

but I am enamored of my CZ SP-01 Phantom

I have a phantom that I bought just to add it to my collection. I had NO idea what a totally superb gun it was going to be. My wife loves it too. I honestly didn't expect it to be so amazing.

where did you find it? Those things are unicorns

Got it off gunbroker. It wasn't a deal, but not too painful either. I live in CT and figured if I want "high" capacity magazines I'd better do it soon. The seller was accurate arms. Guy's name is Matt Mink. He's apparently a shooter on CZ-USA's pistol team. He was great to work with (though like everywhere he's swamped).

The trigger is ass advertised. A little gritty. The SA is not bad, the DA is really heavy. The half-cock is a nice compromise. Of course given that this weighs 44oz empty, I certainly won't be carrying it. But with the night sights and 18 rd magazines it's a great HD pistol.
