So I got my Tax return yesterday and today I went and picked up my FN TSR-XP .308 that I had on layaway!

I'm very excited about this gun, I'm a huge fan of FN products and I've been wanting an FN bolt action for some time now.

The gun is used but in absolutely mint condition, it looks like it has never been fired. It came with all the original paperwork for both the rifle and the scope.

The clerk at the gun shop told me that this rifle was purchased by a wealthy customer who decided after a couple weeks of owning this gun that he wanted an FN A5 instead. So he brought this rifle back to the shop, put the gun on consignment and had the shop order him an A5 instead. The guy apparently took the gun out to the range once before deciding it wasn't good enough for him. Well it's definitely good enough for me!

The scope by the way is a Sightron 4-16x42mm SII Big Sky Mil Dot and came with the rifle. The whole package came out to just under $1200 which I thought was a deal too good to pass up.

I'll post a range report as soon as I have a chance to hit the range with this new toy!

As always here are some pics:D

    Good deal.

I have a PBR XP that I picked up used last year. With good handloads (168 gr SMK and Varget) I've found several loads that are 0.3-0.5 MOA. I like the rifle quite a bit

Great looking rifle. One question, is the wing safety exactly like the Winchester Model 70? Congrats on the deal.

Nice! Pretty sure I'm turning my return into a .308 too. In the M1A loaded variety, maybe even tonight since I'm hitting the range tomorrow anyway!

That is nicer than I would have expected given the name. FN did that one quite tastefully.
