Everyone at the dealer's shop was very impressed with the quality of construction and design of the new Patriot .45 acp 1911 from Dan Wesson.

Beautiful carbon blued steeled frame and slide, low mount sights of the Marksman edition, 'proofed' target showing five shots right in the dead center at 15 yards, very competitively priced and extremely TIGHT fit.

Many remarked this looks like the Kimbers coming in the first year or so, 1997, only 'better'. I'll take it to the range next week and I can assure you that I am very much impressed as well with the pistol. Very low serial number as well.

I bought a Pointman Major last year, before I knew the Patriot was coming out.

I love the Major, but I wish I'd known about the Patriot. Looks like a great gun, I hope you'll give us a range report.

Dan Wesson is making some really nice semis, at really nice prices.

The big, close to my house, gun shop ordered about 6 or 7 Patriots the first time. They were ALL gone in under a week. Their second order was for 25 more Patriots. They all were sold in less than a month. I think Dan Wesson might be back!
I think all these were stainless models.
Felt good in my hand. Tight. NO rattles.
Talking myself right into one! (And it's SOOOoooo difficult to talk myself into a new firearm. :) )
