I finally got my homemade tumbler made! I ended up using the picture and instructions posted by that fine gentleman whose name I forgot. I used the bucket and the motor with the counterweight attched to the shaft to make it viberate. I made a light modification to it by extending the shaft through the bowl that I am using (an empty 5 quart ice cream container)( boy eatting that ice cream was the funnest part) by 2 inches then cutting a 20 oz pepsi bottle and duct taping the top 3 inches of it over the shaft. I find that the taper of the bottle draws the media (Rice) and brass towards the center quite quickly and really does a great job at cleaning them.
I just hope now that Sam and Big Slick can be friends again after my first posting inspired some good natured competition.
I have 6 dollars into this and I think of the phase " Necessity is the mother to all inventions" but I have to say that being a tight ass is. Thanks for all the suggestions.
