7 years old, .22 LR (Henry Minibolt), open sights, 25 yds, first shot of the day. Not sure who was more excited or proud: her or me.

Thanks for your indulgence.

You braggin' about her shot or the fact you actually found .22 ammo?

Just kiddin'.....looks like she is well on her way to findin' a favorite hobby.

If she makes a habit of that, you'll just have to buy her a repeater. Or at least stop wasting the big targets!

Henry Repeating Arms makes a great youth levergun (H001Y) and of course the Mare's Leg (H001ML) is as small as they come.

Nice!

When I go to the range and do that with my first shot, I usually quit while I'm ahead and load up for home.

I never get tired of seeing posts like this. Every smile like that one is one more small sign that the hand basket hasn't reached the sulfur yet. Excellent work.

That smile, makes me smile! Nothing more fun than seeing your children enjoying and being successful in your hobby!

Great picture! Million dollar smile! Started my afternoon off right ! !

Good for her. My mom outshot me the first time she ever picked up a gun. Needless to say...some trash-talking ensued. Some people are just naturals!

Looks like future boyfriends should be more afraid of her than you!

Man I can't wait till my daughter is old enough to come out shooting with me.

Took mine out yesterday, boys age 7, 9, and 11, and let them shoot the M-4 .22 at ice chunks molded from dixie cups. They were all thriller to make them disintegrate. :)

One of the mods recently suggested using the ice targets, they work great. :)

Absolutely a Kodak moment and certainly nothing wrong with bragging (or beaming with pride) when there is something to brag about or be proud of. I would say both hold true. :)

First time my grandson shot a handgun....dead center bullseye...but I kinda stacked the deck by handing him a K-22 Smith. Even Gramps can hit with that thing.

Awesome. Don't post that to Farcebook. Some busy-body will report you to child services! :D

But seriously, that is awesome. Super shooting, super smile. Life is good.
