Ruger finally released some GP100s in 5½", 22lr. 10 rounds of loving.
I wasn't missing out this time.
I bought it for plinking and target shooting.
Nice fit and finish, not a Korth but very nice for Ruger. Trigger isn't too bad but I'll be doing shims and a trigger job.
Here's some pictures of the new acquisition.

On to the reason for my post, grips for target shooting.
I want to swap the grips to a target oriented type. My budget is $75-$150.
The Altamont targets look good and the price is nice.
Hogue exotic wood with checkering, finger grooves and big butt is what I'm leaning towards.
Not sure about the big butt. Any comments appreciated.
