There has been a ton of interest in two major areas that I can see on the forum lately......great CCW sidearms and satisfying the 1911 bug that seems to be going around.

A few months ago I bought this Springfield model EMP (Enhanced Micro Pistol) cal. 9mm.... and I can honestly say, other than my duty cary weapon (Sig P220) this little number is the best weapon I've ever owned esp. for concealed carry. The minor wear and tear shows a bit but I carry it every day!! :);):D

    -Stainless
    -Tritium Night Sights
    -Ambi. thumb safety
-Beaver Tail Safety/Hammer Guard CLASSIC LOOK
    -Easy breakdown/clean
    -Adjustable rear sight
-Springfield's custom short action 1911/ SAO
-They just released it in .40 cal too!!!
-Cost?? about $1,000 give or take depending on where you look.

Good looking gun, but it is out of my price range for backup to my SA XD40 Sub compact. I'll have to stick to 2nd drawer guns for my backup

    franconialocal,

That's one sweet carry gun, Brother. You chose well. I use the original Springfield Micro Compact in .45 acp. It looks almost identical to yours. These little 3 inch 1911s shoot every bit as easy and sweet as the full size models.

    Stay safe,
