A month ago I was looking for a bolt action .22LR for plinking and hunting......what I got was so much more. I wanted to try several of my different brands and sizes to see what this gun was capable of. To say I was happy is an understatement. All but the last was shot at 25 yards, last was shot at 50yards. 5 rounds each target.

For the money, it’s pretty hard to beat the Savage Mark II’s.

I have to totally agree. I love my GVL in 17m2 and my BTVLSS in 22lr. Plus they are a great match for my Savage Model 12FVL.

Nice shooting! I have very similar results with my FV-SR, it preferring the standard velocity loads best.
Which is convenient for the -SR part of the name.:)

This is my 2nd Savage Rifle. The other is a .308 and it shoots very accurately as well, so I was hoping this one would be the same. i was not disappointed.
