This looks like another of the AverageIowaGuy Productions.

He has a new podcast with James Nowka "The Knife Journal Podcast" they are on episode 43 right now.

Kyle is good people! I like his productions. What I like is that he makes his videos for him and his kids.

Yeah, I remember him from that year at Uncle E's and yakking with him a bit. Great guy, probably a better one than most of us considering his volunteer work in the Philippines after the disaster there.

CB,

Didn't TM Hunt mod this for you?

DROOL!
I wish that was mine, but no. It was for another guy who I believe is up in Wisconsin. It's a GORGEOUS rendition of that knife though isn't it?

I have a few other of T.M.Hunt's knives and waiting for a couple more.

I'm going to strip one of my BK5 knives and send it off to a buddy that is a maker and ask him to look at the simplest mod he can think of to build from the BK5 using it as a "blank".

I suspect pinned bolster on the front, clip the butt to shorten and pin slabs on the butt, and then Corby bolt scales in place is the lowest effort approach.

That will be very pretty. I loved my 5 when I had it. However there was a maker out in Oklahoma who I was desperate to get one of his blades. So I sold him my five for a GOOD price, along with a discount on when he starts making knives again :D

Corby bolt.

Both the Camillus and KA-BAR produced Beckers appear to have nominally 3/16" pin/screw/bolt holes.

I got our old Camillus BK5 kitchen knife out and knocked the rust off of it.

I think it would look pretty good to knock off the guard and have a nice long grip with pinned on scales.

Also, note that the full flat grind is actually a very shallow hollow grind that would have a radius the size of a dinner table.
